Health & Money Saving Tips

“You can utilize ingredients in multiple dishes,”  says Jennifer Black Dea, a Recipe Development Manager for Vorwerk, which makes the Thermomix®. “Use carrots in leftovers or use the whole ingredient, like with a lemon use the rind and the juice. You can grind your own sugar for powdered sugar, make own cream with milk and butter, and obviously buying smart, so buying ingredients that have deals.”

Black also suggests buying a block of cheese and shredding it yourself, buying ground meats or chicken thighs to offer great flavor for stews, soups, curry-based meals, and main dishes at lower prices, as well as making your own ice cream and granola to save money and be healthier, too.

“For people on health restricted diets like sodium, sugar, and gluten, you know what’s in your recipes and you can gear them to your nutritional needs,” Black Dea says. “You add less salt, sugar,  and carbs, and we have all the nutritional info at the bottom of the recipe pages. You can control what you and your children eat.”
